Make a Difference & MENTOR. We're UNIQUE!

Have you ever thought of helping at-risk youth visualize the possibilities of their future? Would you like to be a part of a unique community of adults and teenagers who inspire and challenge each other to achieve more? Mentoring is one of the most effective ways to help at-risk students realize their potential.

Reasons Why You Should Mentor with Colorado Youth at Risk

Make a Difference
Just becoming an interested adult in a youth's life and providing them with a sense of self will drastically change their future. The best part is that you'll learn more from a teen than you'll ever be able to teach them. Become a mentor and make a difference in a youth's life and yours.

Change Alarming Statistics
Did you know that Colorado has the 2 nd highest drop out rate in the country? Know this: 48% of youth in Denver will drop out of high school, but if they have mentors, they are 86% more likely to stay in school and graduate. Take a stand and change the course of Colorado's future.

Be a Part of a Community
This program is a great opportunity to meet people without the traditional social pressures. Sharing your transformational experiences with others and being committed to a common cause can bond a small community of people forever. Be a part of something special.

Transform Yourself
Some people have described their experience with CYAR as purely magical. Many have been so inspired with the transformational training and mentoring experience; they have completely changed their life. From repairing damaged relationships to taking a different career path, you too can experience unlimited possibilities.

We're Unique
We are the only mentoring organization in Denver that has the freshman year as the entry point for the youth in the program. This means that the youth that have fallen through the cracks still have a chance to live their dreams and have someone in their life who believes in them. Mentoring a high school aged youth is extremely rewarding as they have perceptive insights and this is a time of great development. We also start our program with an amazing, life changing 4-day free trip to the mountains. Furthermore, in every step you take you are supported by numerous people we want to you to have an incredible year.

This is not your typical mentoring program. Learn why our community of mentors and volunteers is vastly growing and how you can make a difference in a young person's life and yours.

Check us out by attending our 1-hour orientation! Hear from a mentor-mentee pair so you can envision what mentoring can look like for you.

BMA Breakfast Roundtable: Using Marketing Automation to Create a "Leak-Free" Sales Pipeline
The Capitol Hill Mansion, 1207 Pennsylvania St, Denver 80203 (map on the BMA website)

Join BMA on THURSDAY, FEB 25, as we continue our popular breakfast roundtable series.

Only a small percentage of leads in the pipeline are "hot" leads that are ready to do business in the immediate future. The leads that are not hot, the vast majority, will buy what you sell in the future but are largely ignored due to limited time and resources. This lost opportunity is where many sales pipelines leak quality leads. Marketing automation closes those leaks by automating the process of listening to prospects and delivering one-to-one attention to each lead, the same kind of one-to-one attention the "hot" leads receive every day.

Attendees will:
*Learn how to identify prospects who are moving toward the "hot" end of your pipeline
*Understand how lead nurturing builds recognition and keeps your company top-of-mind
*Know how to leverage this emerging technology to your advantage

Our facilitator is Michael Ward,
Founder & CEO at Net-Results Marketing Automation. As an experienced software developer, sales professional, database architect and internet marketer, Michael is the visionary behind the Net-Results Marketing Automation platform. He envisioned the concept for Net-Results in 2003, determined to create a robust demand generation platform for today's over-burdened marketing professionals. A frequent speaker, Michael consistently shares his knowledge with marketers and business leaders.

Roundtables are limited to the first 20 participants, and reservations are required.

Arrupe Jesuit High School is a co-educational, college preparatory school that serves economically disadvantaged students from Denver's inner-city neighborhoods. Through Arrupe's unique Corproate Work-Study Program, students work one day per week at corporations across Denver. Students' earned income from their Corporate Sponsors pays for approximately 70% of their tuition costs. The remainder is paid by families and the Arrupe Tuition Assistance Program.

Magis Night allows us to raise funds so we are able to continue Arrupe's mission to serve students who would not otherwise have an opportunity for a private education.

City Center Marriot

Who: Roselyn Saunders, a well-connected Denver community volunteer, is teaming up with Goodwill Industries of Denver to raise awareness about and funds to support Goodwill's programming that helps more than 26,000 at-risk youth each year.

What: Nearly 1,000 guests, celebrity competitors and celebrity judges will come together for Dancing for the Youth at Goodwill, modeled after ABC's popular prime-time program, "Dancing with the Stars." An idea developed by Saunders, Dancing for Goodwill Youth will be a fun evening filled with food, lively music and a dance competition all in support of Goodwill's mission to support at-risk youth in Colorado.

The evening will kick off with cocktails and a silent auction at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and a live auction. Then the contest begins — featuring local celebrities paired with professional dancers from Robert Nardozza's Colorado Dancesport Studio. While the celebrity judges deliberate, those who purchased their evening attire from Goodwill will be eligible to enter the Best Goodwill Dressed contest for great prizes.

Tickets are $150 for individuals and $300 for a couple, and all proceeds will benefit Goodwill Industries of Denver and its youth services programs.
