Coordinates a variety of experiential education & career services and internship events as well as the event communications and marketing plan to support department goals and objectives

Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinates events and on-campus recruiting activities, as well as online recruitment system content and staff access
  • Coordinates and arranges travel schedules, meetings and events, including preparing materials, reserving and preparing facilities and recording and transcribing meeting minutes
  • Markets department events and services to appropriate constituents, including social media, marketing and communications plan development and materials creation
  • Plans, coordinates, runs and manages the post-evaluation and usage reports for various department events
  • Oversees and coordinates the event registration process, works to include a variety of industries for representation across the JWU programs
  • Manages the online recruitment system in support of career services events and logistics, and collects event payments in accordance with department cash handling policies
  • Coordinates the scheduling for on-campus interviews
  • Maintains records and collects data per department guidelines
  • Answers questions from various constituents in a professional and appropriate manner, following department and university guidelines for information sharing and efficient service
  • Monitors the departmental budget
  • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience working in event planning, marketing or in other related work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advising or working with students
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Social media work experience
