Job Description: 

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic marketing plan designed to enhance brand image and recognition, broadcast the brand’s value promise and empower the Council with collateral tools to drive membership and revenue growth.  The principal focus will be strategic, with particular attention devoted to providing the Council with the tactical leadership to drive annual measurable marketing objectives that competitively differentiate the organization’s value.

Areas of Responsibility

Communications, Marketing, and Public Relations

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Marketing, Business or Communications strongly preferred or a combination of education and experience or equivalent.
  • General familiarity with all phases of Scouting.
  • 10-15 years of related marketing experience.
  • 5 years or more of leadership experience managing a staff of internal and external professionals.
  • Strong leadership and consensus-building skills, marketing management and strategic planning experience and a proven track record in developing and administering a marketing program.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based/Apple computer applications. Familiarity with website content and social media management platforms.

The salary for this position is $65,000-$90,000 with benefits.
