Job Description: 

The Human Resources Administrator is primarily responsible for: supporting and administering the organization’s recruitment and selection activities; maintaining the integrity of the HR Systems and data bases and processing bi-weekly payroll using Bamboo HR.

Areas of Responsibility

Recruiting and Staffing

  • Perform recruitment and selection activities to ensure open positions are filled in a timely manner. This includes posting open positions, screening resumes, communicating with job applicants, conducting interviews, creating interview questions and rubric for hiring managers; etc.
  • Prepare offer letters, initiate background checks, and check references.
  • Conduct new employee orientations to ensure new employees have a thorough understanding of benefit plans and employment policies.
  • Train new employees on Bamboo HR system.
  • Explore and implement enhancements to the employee onboarding experience.

Payroll and Compensation Administration

  • Ensures that all job descriptions are updated for each position in the organization; adds new positions to the PayScale database and runs market reports as needed.
  • Input any benefit, compensation or tax changes into the payroll system.
  • Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll using Bamboo HR system
  • Submit 401k contributions to the recordkeeper twice a month
  • Maintain the integrity of the data in the Bamboo HR system.

Benefits Administration

  • Maintains the benefits platform database by adding new employees and terminating employees who separate from the organization.
  • Coordinate periodic education and enrollment meetings for the 401k Retirement Plan. Comply with ERISA by submitting employee and employer contributions within the timeframe required by the DOL.
  • Respond to benefits questions and claims issues from employees. Act as a liaison between employee and carrier to resolve claims issues. Escalate to benefits broker as needed.

Performs other administrative duties as assigned.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years previous experience in human resources
  • Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a high school education; A college degree is preferred.
  • Willingness to pursue SHRM Certification
  • High degree of self-motivation
  • Knowledge of Colorado Labor Laws
  • Previous knowledge of principles and practices of human resources necessary
  • Payroll processing experience required
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills required. Must have strong customer service skills
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Capacity to work with frequent interruptions
  • Uses discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Diplomacy in dealing with interdepartmental colleagues and public
  • Strong computer skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
