– Sell the Official [Category] Partner of the Brewers Association-level sponsorships
– Administer the Sales department to ensure staff is meeting all internal and external deadlines and commitments
– Set and manage annual revenue and expense budgets
– Cooperate with internal stakeholders to ensure that Sales budgets and execution plans align with divisional and event objectives
– Coach Sales team on sales skills and tactics
– Develop a sales pipeline including a cold leads cultivation program
– Develop and manage enhanced post-event sponsorship reporting. For example, write and project manage GABF post-event report and other post-event reporting
– Lead and manage implementation and usage of internal Customer Relationship Management system (leads, selling, invoicing and fulfillment tool)
– Oversee monthly sales reporting for various divisional meetings
– Take ownership of advertising visibility kit; collaborate with Creative department to update on an ongoing basis to keep pace with best practices
– Review and update web banner ad pricing on an ongoing basis
– Manage client reporting for web banner properties
– Build and maintain relationships with all high-level advertising and sponsorship clients
– Schedule, plan and lead annual Sales team planning retreat

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

– Sales expertise, especially in a consultative, relationship-oriented environment
– Book of business/strong network preferred
– Excellent prospecting and pipeline building skills
– Strong knowledge of event-specific sponsorship sales and execution
– Strong knowledge of best practices in print and online advertising sales
– Excellent budget setting and tracking skills
– Strong ability to plan and forecast future sales environment
– Strong people-management skills
– Strong relationship building skills
– Ability to manage multiple priorities on parallel timelines
– Ability to remain professional while also enjoying some levity at the office
– Excellent verbal communication skills and poise for communicating with a variety of audiences
– Ability to independently determine communication needs of all stake-holders
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
– Ability to hit deadlines and influence project partners to do the same
– Strong organizational skills
– Computer literacy: Microsoft Office including Outlook, Google documents. Database experience preferred, specifically iMIS and Microsoft CRM
– Strong enthusiasm for craft beer with some beer knowledge
– Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

– Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America®
– Great American Beer Festival®
– AHA National Homebrewers Conference (Homebrew Con)
– SAVOR (SM): An American Craft Beer & Food Experience (as assigned)
– Other industry conferences, trade shows, relationship-building visits as assigned
