Job Summary:

The Sponsorship and Exhibits Coordinator (Corporate Relations Coordinator) will support the Corporate Relations department and programs by maintaining donor records, supporting and coordinating fundraising campaigns and events, and providing administrative support for other development-related activities including, but not limited to, corporate sponsorship benefit fulfillment, gift processing and acknowledgment, grant writing and reconciliation, prospect research, and special event logistics.

Essential Functions:

  • Solicits corporate gifts from prospective donors by email, phone, in person or written proposal
  • Coordinate and manage communications, track and analyze results, and initiate appropriate follow-up actions
  • Interact with recipients, donors, prospects and other constituents in person, online or by phone to learn about their experience with the IASLC
  • Primary point of contact for sponsors regarding sponsorship fulfillment, including responsibility for tracking sponsorship revenue, communicating deliverables, preparing final reports, and maintaining fulfillment tracking tools
  • Assist with grant writing and reconciliation activities
  • Manage donor and supporter recognition, including sending thank you packages, personal notes and other forms of recognition in a timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service by accommodating donors’ special needs and requests as appropriate
  • Work closely with our marketing team in strategically developing engaging fundraising campaigns and assist with the process of communications, newsletters and other printed materials
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a part of a team and maintain positive interpersonal relationships in a small, intimate working environment
  • Prepare proposals, contracts and letters of agreement
  • Document and maintain all corporate sponsorship and donor data.  Prepare reporting and prospecting information.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of experience in corporate relations, development, sponsorship, nonprofit fundraising, foundations or similar work
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Strong customer service orientation, relationship building skills and flexibility
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling and communication
  • Can complete tasks independently as well as work collaboratively with the team
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required
  • Available some evenings and weekends and during high-volume period of the year for donor event-related activities
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior association or nonprofit experience
  • Previous experience in using an Association Management System (AMS) or other donor database management systems (e.g. Raisers’ Edge or equivalent platforms)
  • International experience and multicultural sensitivity
  • Bilingual or multilingual a plus

  • Project management experience a plus

  • Must pay strict attention to details

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit at computer work station for extended periods
  • Ability to lift/move 25-40 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

  • Open office environment with computer work stations
  • Frequent phone use.
  • Moderate noise level
