Job Description

Marketo is seeking a Senior Social Media Specialist who is responsible for providing a top-notch, creative social media strategy to enhance our brand voice online and build active online communities for an industry-leading marketing team. This position will work with multi-functional teams on high-priority campaigns and projects. The successful candidate must have in-depth experience in social media marketing and a passion for creating content and engaging people in new and creative ways, as well as a data and result-driven approach to social media marketing. He or she is independent yet effective at collaborating with others and is flexible to take on new and varied tasks.


Job Responsibilities

  • Create top-notch, out-of-the-box social media strategy, to enhance our brand voice online and build active online communities
  • Work closely with digital marketing and content teams to drive social strategy
  • Manage all Marketo social media platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook
  • Foster partnerships with external influencers and bloggers, actively participate in online forums to drive engagement on behalf of the company, and monitor online sentiment and drive true customer engagement
  • Analyze the long-term needs of the company's social media strategy and provide quarterly reports to the management and executive teams
  • Plan and execute on weekly livestreams and Tweetchats with partners, customers, and influencers
  • Compile metrics on campaigns, posts, and ongoing thought leadership to shape strategy
  • Train new and current employees on best practices for social media engagement


Job Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Four years of experience in social media management
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to turn ideas and concepts into visually relevant and effective material
  • Able to explain complex social media data in an understandable way
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and can manage time effectively with top-notch prioritization skills
  • Experience with CSR campaigns as well as employee engagement
  • Trained in Hootsuite, Influitive, Google Analytics, Brandwatch, Buffer, Sprout, and Simply Measured with a working knowledge of Photoshop
  • Familiar with Technology and Social Media Influencers and knowledge of how to effectively engage with them
