Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) is a not-for-profit trade association which represents 21 ski and snowboard resorts in Colorado. CSCUSA is the global voice of the Colorado ski industry. The association’s primary functions are concentrated in marketing, public policy, and public relations.
Founded in 1963, Colorado Ski Country USA has been instrumental in the marketing, public relations, and legislative efforts that have propelled the Colorado ski industry to success. Today, Colorado hosts between 20 and 25 percent of all skier visits in the U.S. annually, with CSCUSA member resorts accounting for more than 7 million skier visits a year. The winter sports industry generates nearly $5 billion of economic activity annually in Colorado.
The organization engages in a variety of programs to promote and grow the sport, including the Colorado Ski Country USA Snow Report, the Ski Passport program for kids in grades 3–6, which encourages families and children to become life-long participants, and industry conferences, including the Snow Conference and the Annual Meeting.
