Fostering Hope Foundation

Fostering Hope is a 501(c)(3), multi-site operating foundation whose mission is to affirm and support foster parents in their task of caring for neglected and abused children. Our goal is to improve the outcomes of youth in foster care, and our vision is to improve foster care nationally. We create a network of supportive help to foster families and to their children as they age out of the system by facilitating volunteers from the faith community into the lives of foster families to offer the stability, normal developmental experiences and connections to caring adults/wider community that every child needs to thrive. This engagement creates public interest and the will to improve the care that the children in foster care receive. Fostering Hope's task is to enhance this effort by creatively collaborating with individuals/groups/systems and by leveraging resources from the faith and business communities. The core program of volunteer assistance has been operating for 10 years. The creation of an enduring network of support for young adults emerging from the system is in its early phase.
