The Sky-Hi News, part of Swift Communications’ mountain resort group with publications in Colorado, Nevada, California and Utah, publishes a newspaper on Wednesdays and Fridays, with an average free distribution of 4,600 papers during the low season and 6,000 during peak season. The Sky-Hi News serves the towns of Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash, Granby, Grand Lake, Hot Sulphur Springs and Kremmling. Our coverage area includes the world-class ski area of Winter Park Resort, the nationally renowned mountain biking mecca at SolVista Basin in Granby and the western gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park at Grand Lake.

The Sky-Hi News is seeking an editor to lead its small newsroom. The ideal candidate will be a leader and a planner who knows how to strategize and execute a wide variety of content — from in-depth features to concise breaking news updates — working collaboratively with writers, designers and editors on coverage.
Reporter
We need a mature, focused reporter who can balance covering breaking news, community happenings and deeper dives into the challenges and realities of life in the mountains. We're looking for an adventurous spirit with a love for the outdoors, ski towns, Western culture and the unique stories that bind it all together.
