What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary target range we are looking to offer is ideally between $95,000- $115,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field at least 3 days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.
What You’ll Do
Denver International Airport is looking for an Airport Commercial Administrator to join our Commercial Business Development team. This team manages and grows landside commercial properties to support DEN customer experience and increase non-aeronautical revenue to DEN. This portfolio currently includes managing over 15,000 acres of land for the Rental Car, Hotel, Farm, Solar, and Telecom programs along with several smaller initiatives. We provide strategic direction and oversight and serve as the main relationship managers for these tenants. We are also working on several projects that provide great opportunities to improve the customer experience at DEN, as well as contribute to our goal to be the greenest airport in the world. In this role you’ll contribute to the success of DEN by maximizing the performance of a unique commercial revenue portfolio and will gain valuable experience and exposure to the inner workings of procuring, negotiating, administering, and enforcing the terms of these agreements. Job responsibilities include:
- As a contributing and valued team-member, provides operational and administrative support to Division as needed
- Oversees team-wide contract compliance and project tracking and reporting to include data visualization
- Manages team-wide administrative tasks related to revenue agreements and contracts (initiation, internal review, execution, City Council review, billing)
- Serves as the primary point of contact and property manager for the off-campus office facility lease(s) and DEN North & South Contractor staging yards and manages related projects and tasks with a ‘make it happen’ attitude
- Manages the DEN cellular tenants and leads the coordination of DEN’s review of the cellular tenant’s development design and construction activities, including the initiation of the BlueBeam™ review and DEN Shutdown Request processes
- Serves as a primary point of contact for coordination on Commercial Business-sponsored DEN D.E.C.-led projects
- Serves as a primary point of contact between Commercial Business and DEN Contract Procurement
- Manages individually assigned duties to include the DEN contracting process, research and analysis, team-wide monitoring multiple outlook inboxes, stakeholder coordination, scheduling meetings and maintaining notes, creating presentations and public outreach documents, etc.

We are looking for candidates with some of the following skills and experience, including similar experience that demonstrates transferrable knowledge and the ability to gain this experience quickly:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related degree
- Prior experience coordinating programs or projects with required deadlines, multiple dependencies and across various stakeholders
- Technical abilities with the Microsoft Suite, Teams and PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Excel
- Experience managing revenue contracts and agreements, including business line growth, compliance activities and reporting
- Experience managing, coordinating and reporting on the status and milestones of various projects at one time
- Strong leadership, initiative, and communication competencies with a ‘can do; make it happen’ attitude
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience conducting moderately complex analysis on a variety of issues as needed in retail, food and beverage, commercial property, car rental, parking and ground transportation businesses, airline affairs, or a related industry.
- Education & Experience Equivalency- One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of posthigh school education. A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements
- Licensures/Certification(s): Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
