That Denver Arts and Venues is looking for an Assistant Facility Superintendent to join our team!
The Arena (Red Rocks Amphitheatre/Denver Coliseum) Assistant Facility Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the appearance of the facilities are kept up to expected standards, supporting the overall operations of the facilities, overseeing day-to-day operations of facilities contractor, staff management, event setup, and, key duties include supervising maintenance crews, coordinating event logistics, maintaining facility cleanliness and grounds maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout the arena.
Key responsibilities may include:
This person would have the responsibility of ensuring that the appearance of the venues is kept at a high standard. They would develop and implement standards acceptable to venue management and oversee the facilities contractor (currently Aramark) to ensure the standards are met. This is for both interior and exterior spaces. This position would review and approve staffing plans for contractor as well as review billings for accuracy. They would also assist the Facility Superintendent with other facility related duties and make recommendations to venue management for process or facility improvements.
Facility Maintenance Oversight:

Managing routine maintenance tasks like cleaning, repairs, and inspections of the facilities.

Coordinating with outside contractors for maintenance, cleaning and repairs the facilities as needed
-
Developing and implementing standards acceptable to venue management and oversee the facilities contractor (currently Aramark) to ensure the standards are met. This is for both interior and exterior spaces.
Event Operations:
-
Assisting with event planning and setup, including staging, seating arrangements, and equipment placement as needed.

Collaborating with appropriate facilities contractor and staff during events to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
Staff Management:

Review and approve staffing plans for contractor as well as review billings for accuracy.

Supervising custodial staff, maintenance technicians, and other facility personnel.

Scheduling staff shifts and assigning tasks based on event schedules.

Providing training and performance evaluations for facility staff.
Safety and Security:

Enforcing facility safety regulations and emergency procedures.

Conducting regular safety inspections and addressing potential hazards.
Administrative Tasks:

Maintaining detailed records of facility operations, maintenance logs, and event details.

Managing facility budgets and vendor contracts.

Preparing reports on facility operations and maintenance needs for the Facility Manager.
Ideal Candidate:
-
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and facility management practices. Ideally, they have experience in general building cleaning procedures, groundskeeping and high standards for the appearance of facilities.

Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and motivate a team of staff members.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with contractors, staff, and facility management.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify and address issues that arise during facility operations.

Customer Service Focus: Commitment to providing excellent customer service to all facility users.

Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in a related field based on a specific position(s).

Experience Requirement: Three (3) years’ experience performing full performance professional level duties within a specialized, functional area. (This does not include clerical experience.)

Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
