The Opportunity
CCSF is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Associate Director of Philanthropy & Engagement to lead the design and execution of a portfolio of high-impact engagement strategies that deepen connection and inspire philanthropy.
This role sits at the intersection of community, storytelling, and fundraising—bringing together donors, alumni, corporate partners, and educators in ways that build meaningful relationships and drive long-term investment.
The Associate Director will play a central role in shaping how stakeholders experience the mission—translating impact into engagement strategies that strengthen partnerships and grow support for students and schools.
What You’ll Do
Engagement Strategy & Experiences
- Design and lead a curated portfolio of mission-aligned engagement strategies and experiences
- Own the planning and execution of CCSF’s flagship annual fundraising event and related engagement opportunities
- Develop experiences that prioritize connection, storytelling, and donor engagement over scale alone
- Oversee event strategy, logistics, vendor partnerships, and execution with a high standard of quality
Donor & Partner Engagement
– Partner with the Director of Development to align engagement strategies with fundraising priorities and revenue goals
– Support cultivation and stewardship of donors, sponsors, and corporate partners through intentional engagement planning
– Lead sponsor engagement strategy, recognition, and fulfillment tied to events and experiences
– Manage high-quality donor communications, including invitations, follow-up, and stewardship touchpoints
Alumni & Community Engagement
– Lead the development and growth of alumni engagement strategies across Cherry Creek School District
– Create opportunities for alumni, corporate, and community partners to connect meaningfully with CCSF’s work
– Build and manage relationships that strengthen public-private partnerships in support of public education
CRM & Engagement Infrastructure
– Oversee management and strategic use of the Foundation’s CRM (Bloomerang) to support donor engagement, segmentation, and outreach
– Establish and maintain strong data practices that inform engagement strategies and decision-making
Storytelling & Cross-Functional Collaboration
– Partner with Strategic Communications to integrate compelling student, educator, and community stories into engagement efforts
– Collaborate with the Program & Impact Strategist to align engagement strategies with program outcomes and district priorities
– Serve as a connector across fundraising, communications, and program teams

– Measurable growth in alumni, corporate, and community engagement
– Clear alignment between engagement efforts and fundraising outcomes
What You Bring
– Experience in nonprofit fundraising, engagement, partnerships, or related field
– Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives from concept through execution
– Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
– Experience supporting donor cultivation, stewardship, and engagement strategies
– Comfort using CRM systems and leveraging data to inform decisions
– Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
– Sound judgment and ability to operate with independence and initiative
– Passion for public education and community impact; familiarity with Cherry Creek Schools highly preferred
Work Structure & Compensation
– 30–40 hours per week, hybrid role based in Denver Tech Center
– In-person presence for events and key meetings; some evening and weekend work required
– Salary range: $58,000–$72,000, based on experience
– Benefits include a competitive salary, generous paid time off and holidays, health insurance benefits (medical, dental and vision), retirement plan including employer contribution
