The Associate Manager, Global Social Media, has primary oversight responsibilities surrounding the development of impactful, globally scalable social media strategies that effectively support strategic brand objectives. Drives social media growth and engagement to targeted consumers in an effort to enhance brand desirability and connectivity by showcasing key products and expanding product relevancy with and without influencer support.  Connects to and activates existing followers, cultivates new followers, and leads strategic development and execution of paid social efforts that will turn social followers into customers.  Develops a social media plan collaboratively with cross-functional and local market key stakeholders that features innovative, creative and brand-right high-quality content, while managing the social media fan and superfan communities to drive conversation, connection and engagement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Effective development and management of global scalable social media strategy including organic and paid social programs for local activation

  • Development of a comprehensive social media plan and calendar that reaches target consumers and achieves strategic brand objectives with supporting high quality brand, product and sales quality content that cultivates social consumer growth and engagement; enhances brand desirability and connection; improves product consideration and relevancy; and drives conversion of follower to customer.

  • Produces organic and paid social media activation guides for local markets that supports cohesive strategic brand objectives and position and leverages shareable content and programs, while providing flexibility for local markets to build locally tailored social activations

  • Drives strategy, plan and execution of scalable influencer programs to drive awareness and generate interest for Crocs’ key products

  • Plans and executes paid social strategy in the US while providing tools, frameworks and recommendation to global partners to aid the development of regional paid social programs

  • Oversees with internal and external partners to create, curate and manage publishing of relevant, original and high-quality content that can be leveraged across social and other digital platforms

  • Ability to work with external media, advertising and PR agencies to integrate strategies into social media

  • Continual measurement and analysis of social media effectiveness including ROI to guide delivery of actionable optimization recommendations to improve performance and drive growth

  • Actively listens and integrates cross-functional and local key stakeholders, and consumer data needs to ensure alignment, and maximize potential of respective deliverables

  • Works collaboratively with marketing, operations and creative teams to ensure processes align with key production and activation milestones, and appropriate systems are utilized to improve communications

  • Monitors trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.Identifies threats and opportunities in social media and amongst key competitors.

  • Serves as an advocate for the company in social spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate

  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required.

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS or BA in business marketing or related field.MBA or other advanced degree highly desired

  • Minimum of 5 years of digital and social marketing experience or equivalent, preferably in global consumer products

  • Strong project management and cross-functional team leadership skills including organizational skills, project planning abilities, timeline management, results-orientation and interpersonal skills.

  • Business acumen

  • Intricate knowledge of key global social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat and Instagram.Additional knowledge of emerging and key regional social platforms including WeChat, Kakao, Weibo and Line.

  • Ability to jump from creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound

  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media.

  • Working knowledge of or familiarity with social publishing and analytical tools like Spredfast

  • Experience working with social strategies and influencer agencies like Open Influence and Social Native

  • Experience sourcing and managing content development including video, and publishing.

  • Proven ability to develop and manage cross-platform social activations that delivered positive material results including reach, engagement, follower growth, brand perception improvement, and sales.

  • Ability to participate in and build effective teams, both within the marketing department and cross-functionally with product, sales and operations

  • Strong communication abilities, written and verbal

  • Requires thorough knowledge of general marketing and social media principals

  • Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task and prioritize duties, operates with sense of urgency

  • Advanced analytical skills, ability to translate complex data into actionable strategy

  • Ability to develop, manage and improve upon process

  • Demonstrates consumer centricity and experience as well as passion for product and brand building

  • Ability to solve problems and take initiative
