Description: JBS is looking for a Director of Communications to help develop and execute holistic communications plans that strengthen and protect the reputation of the company, while collaborating with leadership, business units, marketing, HR, and other key stakeholders across the organization and within the industry. The ideal candidate should be an experienced professional who is driven to advance our mission through comprehensive public relations efforts. The position is based in Greeley, Colorado, in a full-time office environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary resource for the comms team with both internal and external clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Prepare high-quality content, including key messages, digital copy, press releases, talking points, video resources, etc.
  • Assist with PR campaign execution
  • Identify opportunities for storytelling throughout the organization
  • Define key performance indicators and implement enterprise-level measurement, analytics and reporting methods to gauge success
  • This role will include internal and external communications efforts; media relations; content development and management; social media planning and support; digital strategy; and issues management
  • Assist in strategic engagements with stakeholders, trade associations and coalitions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of PR/Communications experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field highly desired or 10 years experience in lieu of degree
  • Proven work experience in communications
  • Highly capable project manager with excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills
  • Good proofreading skills; attention to detail is a must
  • Self-starter, flexible, results-driven, quick-learning personality that easily adapts to change
  • Positive attitude and collaborative
  • Ability to work effectively and under pressure with a wide array of personalities and management styles
  • Appropriately screen and handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Understands social/digital media and proficient in Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you will be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
  • Base salary range of $130,000 – $160,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan — the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
