Reports to:  The Food Redistribution Program Manager.

Pay: $45,000 – $52,900 depending on relevant previous experience and skills.

Role Summary:

The Community Partnership Manager supports community ownership of No Cost Grocery Programs (NCGPs) and manages participant-facing food redistribution activities, partnering closely with the Food Redistribution team and other recipient-end partners.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Community Program Support and Partnership Building

  • Lead and facilitate processes that empower NCGPs and community members.

  • Collaborate with NCGP Coordinators and community partners on delivery logistics.

  • Conduct outreach to inform community members about food distributions and encourage feedback.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with program participants, mutual aid projects, and other food distribution partners.

 

2. Logistics Management Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Food Redistribution Team to resolve logistical issues, maintain accurate records, and ensure food quality standards are met.

  • Adjust logistics based on community feedback and regularly check in with partners to ensure food meets the community’s needs.

  • Strategize improvements to food delivery logistics to support community-driven routing.

 

3. Community Feedback and Engagement

  • Actively gather community feedback and manage monthly and quarterly check-ins with NCGPs and mutual aid groups.

  • Organize community surveys and feedback mechanisms, such as workshops or community meetings.

  • Use feedback to inform internal decision-making, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions collaboratively with community members.

 

4. Outreach and Engagement Activities

  • Build community interest in NCGPs through door-to-door outreach, event attendance, and distribution site visits.

  • Plan and facilitate community events (e.g., meals, convivios) to strengthen connections and partnerships.

  • Communicate in both English and Spanish, support translation needs, and create informational materials for participants.

 

5. Community Ownership and Power Delegation

  • Recruit, train, and support NCGP Coordinators, providing leadership opportunities and professional development.

  • Involve participants in decision-making through advisory committees, collaborative planning, and participatory action research.

  • Collaborate with the Food Redistribution Team to solidify the communication between the communities and the couriers and build a self-sufficient system.

 

6. Staff and Event Support

  • Participate in team meetings, staff meetings, and occasional board meetings.

  • Support large public events and strategic planning sessions.

 

Qualifications:

 

Required 

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish: Must communicate effectively in both languages, manage program activities, and interpret information with ease.

 

Preferred: 

• Leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and creative problem-solving skills.

• Experience working with diverse communities, and using nonviolent communication.

• Ability to work independently and manage complex tasks with minimal supervision.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel throughout Boulder County for work, using personal or provided transportation.

  • Able to work in various indoor and outdoor settings, including inclement weather, and spend prolonged periods working on a computer.
