The Data Analytics Specialist position is part of the Human Resources team and will provide insight and decision support through analysis of large and disparate data sets. You will apply your expertise in quantitative business analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand the story. Technical and creative skills needed to pull data sets from varying systems, comparing and trending data, displaying / reporting data for easy understanding and consumption by all levels.

Your experience

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

  • Experience doing quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • The ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis
  • Experience with large data sets
  • Fluency in SQL or other programming languages is a plus
  • Preferred experience Lawson and Tableau
  • Preferred experience in Human Resources, but not a must have

Your day

As a Data Scientist you need to know how to:

  • Build key data sets to empower operational and exploratory analysis
  • Monitor key metrics and understand root causes of changes in metrics
  • Build and analyze dashboards and reports
  • Propose areas of focus based on metrics
  • Identify levers to help move key metrics
  • Evaluate and define metrics
  • Educate teams through presentation of work
  • Research and present contemporary practices in analytics, dashboards, and big data
  • BA/BS degree, SQL experience, Tableau experience, build and analyze dashboards and reports, experience with large data sets.
