Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper — a laid off geologist turned brewpub owner turned elected official — seeks a Denver County Regional Director to serve as an outreach liaison for Denver area communities. This role will be based in the Denver office and will require travel throughout the metro region.

The main responsibilities of this position include: 

  • Building and maintaining relationships with community leaders and local government representatives; 
  • Attending and convening community events to listen and discuss the Senator’s work and federal happenings;
  • Advising the team on local needs in the region;
  • Organizing, staffing, and providing follow up for the Senator’s events; and 
  • Preparing briefing, scheduling, and background documents for the Senator and other team members. 

Ideal candidates are self-driven, strategic, excellent communicators (written and verbal), and understand the Denver community. We value proactiveness, big-picture thinking, and the ability to collaborate. 

Our office prioritizes building a diverse team. The salary range for this position is $69K – $72K plus federal benefits. This is an exempt position and a hybrid role with remote and in-person work and reports to the State Outreach Director.
