Description
Parkinson Association of the Rockies is seeking a Development Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience with corporate fundraising, donor relations and grant work, is ambitious and organized, creative and thoughtful and has connections in the Colorado area. We are looking to expand our development team with someone who can elevate our fundraising efforts. The right person will seamlessly integrate with our team and work in tandem with the Development Director and CEO to execute our development strategy.
Essential Job Functions & Duties
- Work with the Development Director to coordinate and manage targeted donor communication strategies: such as lapsed donors, recurring, etc.
- Collaborate with marketing and program teams on design and implementation of communications and marketing to align with development priorities
- Manage donor tracking and reporting in CRM (Salesforce)
- Work in CRM to manage existing donor lists and create new donor lists for communications, maintain donor information and set up recurring reporting to inform Development Director, CEO, and Board of Directors
- Track and analyze fundraising efforts to inform future development strategies
- Help with solicitation of in-kind event support, (auction items, partnership, event donations)
- Serve on event committees
- Contribute other relevant ideas/opportunities for ways to generate donor activity to Development Director for consideration
- Assist Development Director with grant work. Research and identify potential foundation prospects. Drive Walmart/Sam’s plan from start to finish
- Engage Vitality (walk) team captains to support fundraising efforts and work with participants to maximize results
- Assist Development Director with corporate outreach. Manage a portfolio of corporate partners and develop prospect list with strategies to engage
- Works in a timely and effective manner to solve problems when issues arise
- Ensures event sponsors’ contractual needs are fulfilled
Requirements/Qualifications
- Detail oriented while working on multiple tasks at once
- Previous experience working in a nonprofit setting managing donors and corporate partners (1-2 years)
- Possesses strong organization skills, with ability to multitask and manage several projects at any one time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Adobe products
- Experience with CRM platforms (Sales Force a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective relationship management abilities
