The Digital Art Director reports to the Associate Creative Director. This role will maintain defined brand standards and design/direct concepts that support and elevate the Crocs brand through digital advertising and social media channels. The Art Director provides design direction for, and collaborates with, Graphic Designers, Digital Designers and Copywriters in order to bring the Crocs brand to life across multiple global channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with, and apply global brand direction from VP/Global Creative Director
  • Direct e-commerce creative projects from concept to final execution
  • Be highly conceptual and able to easily communicate ideas that support and elevate the Crocs brand
  • Responsible for e-commerce digital creative within the Crocs organization.
  • Provide clear and concise art direction for Graphic Designers
  • Review and approve creative projects before presenting to ACD and VP/Global Creative Director
  • Help create an environment of partnership and collaboration throughout Crocs to ensure that clients’ needs are understood, and objectives met
  • Assign, review and approve all projects to direct-report designers
  • Collaborate and lead the digital design for global partners including EMEA and Korea
  • Partner with UX/UI and the development team to enhance and improve the crocs.com e-commerce site
  • Collaborate with Copywriters to concept needle-moving ideas
  • Collaborate with designers and product to launch Crocs collaborations on e-commerce site

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 4-6 years of experience as an Art Director
  • 5-7 years of experience in design/digital
  • Expert level competencies within Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Understanding of HTML and email development
  • Must be organized and able to maintain a fast-paced working environment
  • Must be a willing communicator and collaborator
  • Must be committed to the development of Graphic Designers
  • Must maintain a professional and creative atmosphere within the creative and marketing teams
  • Must be flexible and able to accept, provide and apply necessary critique and feedback
  • Experience designing for e-commerce websites and platforms
