Opened in January of 1940, Winter Park Resort is the oldest continuously operating resort in the U.S., and located just 67 miles NW of Denver, is the closest major ski resort to the City. Owned by the City and County of Denver, and managed by Intrawest/Winter Park Operations Corporation, Winter Park is part of the rich history and tradition of Denver mountain parks, and is also one of Intrawest’s premier destination resorts in North America.  Winter Park’s traditions are deeply rooted in railroad, logging, and the early exploration of Grand County and the local Fraser Valley. 


The position is responsible for driving resort visits, revenue and brand by creating and implementing digital content across the websites, CRM platform (email), social media platforms, blog, paid content sponsorships and other digital additions in the future, such as app, digital signage, etc.

The Digital Content Coordinator reports to the Digital Content Manager who provides overall strategy and direction for digital content.

The coordinator is responsible for the creation and implementation of content supporting all departments at the resort. Day-to-day activities include content updates that support sales and marketing objectives.

The Digital Content Coordinator works closely with content publishing members, business unit stakeholders, IT partners and the Marketing & Sales team to gather, prioritize, execute and track requirements that fulfill external and internal user expectations.

The DCC will submit web and email copy and content to a shared resource who will implement in the CMS, CRM platform and other places where technical implementation is needed.

The DCC will own social media, promotional content creation as well as responding to guests who publically post (Guest Services manages the inbox) across all platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

In the social media aspect this of this role, the individual will be responsible for promoting Winter Park Resort and Trestle Bike Park by leveraging assets and promotions to maximize fan engagement, collaborate with all departments, brands, sponsors and other stakeholders to develop and execute social media strategy and initiatives to drive traffic and enhance brand engagement. In some cases this will include creating social contests, cross-posting, etc.   

In the blog and sponsored content aspect of the role, the individual will be responsible for writing engaging and brand driving blog posts, writing long form articles which promoted the desired aspects of the brand to specific audiences and interacting with key influencers and publications to drive awareness and affinity for Winter Park Resort.

This role is responsible for driving the digital consumer experience to be best-in-class, bring innovations and optimizations, in addition to content creation. This role is accountable for key performance indicators around social media, blog, CRM and website key metrics.


This position’s primary responsibility is the successful management and activation of all Winter Park Resort digital content and marketing platforms.

Manage web content updates that support marketing objectives on,, etc. Gather, prioritize, execute and track changes. Check in periodically with relevant stakeholders. Work with Digital Content Manager to execute content creation plans.

Assist or coordinate implementation and management of feature and functionality enhancements of online tools including ecommerce systems, live chat, apps, F&B menus, esigns, weather and snow reporting, web cams, etc.

Copy Writing Requirements:

Work within the brand standards and often an existing campaign platform, established by the creative AORs.
Put together disparate elements of copy created by other creative professional for the creation new marketing communication elements.
Can write long form and short form copy for traditional and digital media including video, radio, print, brochures, email, social and website.
Can interpret a project/creative brief and create marketing materials that are on strategy and adhere to all mandatories.

Social Media Requirements:

Along with Digital Content Manager, develop social calendar for paid and owned media
Successfully leverage brand presence on channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat
Develop creative (copy and imagery) for paid social posts
Create content and posts that promote WP experience holistically, while adhering to brand guidelines
Work with operations and PR to address news, updates, concerns and timely information, while balancing promotional posts
Analytics reporting and optimization of social media platforms

Web Requirements:

Work with Marketing Director/Digital Content Manager to execute marketing calendar and web updates
Work on, and e-commerce interfaces
Implement strategic updates to website to reflect positive UX
Write copy, create content to drive revenue in ancillary businesses and promote resort as a whole, in partnership with Graphic Designer. Provide content to shared digital resource to execute in CMS
Work with IT to create products and update promotions

CRM/Email Requirements:

Manage and provide email content that aligns with Digital Content Manager strategy
Coordinate with other departments at resort as well as marketing and sales team members on content
Coordinate all images, copy, elements from Graphic Designer and provide to shared digital implementation resource to input

Blog Requirements:

– Write blogs that align and drive business priorities and increase brand engagement

Sponsored Article/Content Requirements:

Proactively find niche PR articles and submit pitches per periodical specifications that align with department strategy
Write short form copy for 3rd party publications
Tailor articles to appropriate audiences and voice
Strong attention to detail and grammar


Must have strong writing skills that can be leveraged to appeal to a variety of audiences
Must be able to work under minimal supervision and act as a problem solver, creative thinker and self-starter.

Must foster a department culture of innovation, collaboration and accountability and be successful in an experiential hospitality and promotionally driven, fast paced, metrics-oriented company.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business related field.

Experience:  Minimum of 1-2  years progressive experience in content generation, social media, copywriting, web and/or digital marketing. Experience in hospitality, travel or experiential brand strongly preferred.

Minimal travel required and only in local area.


This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Office Environment:
