SUMMARY
The Digital Marketing Ad Buyer will be responsible for supporting a variety of marketing efforts for Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. This position is part of the Consumer Marketing Department and reports to the Director, Paid Media. The Digital Marketing Ad Buyer will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of consumer marketing campaigns, assisting with the identification of potential new marketing platforms, optimizing campaign performance, reporting back on ways to improve future campaigns, and helping to provide results. This position works closely across other consumer marketing functions, cross functional teams and outside agency counsel. Responsibilities will be executed in accordance with the beef industry’s Long-Range Plan and strategies and tactics outlined in the consumer marketing and Promotions programs. *This is not a remote positon.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Implement consumer marketing campaigns by assisting in research, planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns for both national campaigns, as well as State Beef Council Campaigns.
Support digital marketing campaigns through the placement of paid search, display, publishers and video.
Prepare media briefs, campaign proposals/reports, presentations, and manage timelines and calendars.
Update media flowchart, project management timelines and consumer roadmap on an ongoing basis in order to inform strategy and process.
Work with creative and subject matter expert teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming.
Provide insights to optimize copy and landing pages to improve search engine marketing performance.
Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization.
Research and work with the IT team to implement search engine optimization recommendations and best practices.
Gather and analyze data on campaign and content performance that helps inform ongoing strategy.
Monitor and measure campaign performance and compiles data for reporting.
Regularly monitor our digital dashboards to understand ongoing and historical performance, and make recommendations on existing campaign platforms, SEO, ad strategy and future creative assets.
Assist in maintaining a robust digital marketing analytics dashboard for all marketing and communications programs, which can provide clear and actionable insights for team members. Regularly update dashboard as needed to showcase results and ideally, growth and improvement, over time.
Support execution of digital advertising efforts for both National and State Beef Council media campaigns, including supporting media buys, optimizing campaigns during flight and supporting the preparation of mid- and end-of-campaign performance reports.
Monitor competitors’ marketing activities and develop ongoing reporting to team on competition.
Develop and track consumer marketing campaign timelines and work plans.
Moderate travel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION – Must possess a Bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE – 1-2 years of media planning, analytics, or ad buying experience. Experience with advertising agency or working with sizable media budgets preferred.

CERTIFICATION(S) – Google Ads Certified (or in active process of acquiring certification)
SKILLS– Highly analytical, data-driven mindset needed. Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel. Marketing technology applications such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Trade Desk and other digital advertising platforms. Strong program management and organizational skills, being able to manage multiple projects at once. Comfortable with pivot tables and formulas and Search Engine Optimization experience a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Self-starter, capable of multi-tasking several projects simultaneously. This position includes a substantial amount of on-the-job training, as needed.
