What we are looking for:
As Director of Corporate Communications – You will be responsible for overseeing a coherent and effective communications strategy between Stem, our markets and key stakeholders. You will work closely with Executive staff, Investor Relations, and Marketing to develop and manage a small number of strategic themes that all messaging will align to. You will be the principle point of contact for all media interactions. In addition, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders to manage internal communications within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic communications plan for external audiences, including media, investors, and industry stakeholders to enhance the company’s public image and support business objectives.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company, managing all media relations activities, including press releases, interviews, and media inquiries.
- Collaborate with marketing team to ensure alignment of brand messaging across external channels.
- Coordinate customer related announcements and press releases
- Partner with Executive staff to develop key messaging and themes
- Draft content such as executive level communications and press releases
- Assist C-level staff in preparing for media interviews and professional speaking engagements
- Develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to promote organizational alignment, employee engagement, and company culture.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and other departments to manage change communications that impact the employee population.
- Ensure consistent messaging across all internal platforms.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field
- Proficiency with communication tools
- Strong writing skills and experience authoring press releases and executive internal communications
- Strong project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of renewable energy industry with solar or energy storage experience Demonstrated ability to distill complex industry-technical messages and jargon into high impact messaging for a broad variety of audiences of all technical abilities
- Ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Salary Range
$162,480.00 – $243,720.00
