Salary Range: $84,000–$95,000 annually, full-time with benefits

Position Overview:
The Director of Development & Marketing will play a vital leadership role in expanding DTP's impact. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role involves leading fundraising initiatives, community outreach, and strategic marketing to enhance the organization's visibility and financial sustainability. The Director will oversee a Communications Manager and Contract Grants Manager, collaborating across teams to support DTP’s mission.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Development & Fundraising

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grant funding, and special events.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with a donor base of 20,000 tennis enthusiasts, transforming tennis customers into dedicated supporters.
  • Oversee the grants process, working with the Contract Grants Manager to identify opportunities, submit proposals, and ensure compliance.
  • Plan and implement donor recognition programs and events to deepen engagement.
  • Track and analyze fundraising performance, presenting regular updates to leadership and the board.

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing and communications plan to enhance DTP’s visibility, attract participants, and grow donor engagement.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content for digital platforms, newsletters, annual reports, and promotional materials.
  • Manage and grow DTP’s presence on social media platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational branding and goals.
  • Act as a spokesperson and ambassador for DTP, promoting its mission through public relations efforts and community events.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to the Communications Manager and Contract Grants Manager.
  • Foster collaboration across teams to align development and marketing goals with overall organizational priorities.
  • Maintain and cultivate partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders to advance DTP’s mission.
 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in nonprofit fundraising, marketing, or communications with proven results in donor cultivation or campaign management.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience managing teams in a collaborative setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in fundraising CRM platforms, social media tools, and digital marketing.
  • Passion: A strong commitment to youth development, equity, and the power of sports.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to hybrid work and occasional evening/weekend events.
