Developmental Pathways (DP) has an opportunity for a Director of Learning and Organizational Development (LOD) to join our LOD team! The Director of (LOD) will be responsible for developing and implementing a forward-thinking, data-driven strategy in alignment with DP’s strategic priorities and objectives. This role will be a part of the People leadership team, partnering closely with leaders in Human Resources to establish an integrated talent strategy and develop tools to promote a high-performing culture.  This role will be highly visible, reporting directly to the Vice President of People, and will serve as an internal advisor on all areas related to LOD.

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of LOD professionals, adapt to changing business needs with optimism, and support their individual growth and success
  • Strong project management skills to drive projects to completion
  • Ability to translate organizational needs into integrated learning and development solutions
  • Ability to establish credibility and influence at all levels in the organization while building relationships and trust during times of change and transition 

This is a 40-hour per week, hybrid position, with the benefit of working remotely and in-person coming into our headquarters office in Aurora, CO, and/or off-site locations. This position will facilitate training sessions in-,person and virtually, and will potentially require speaking on their feet for up to 8 hours a day.

Starting Salary & Benefits
$108,697 – $131,115 annually

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, organizational development, or appropriate related field
  • Minimum of six to eight years’ experience in a relevant field of training, adult education and or learning and organizational development
  • Minimum of six (6) years of managerial, including supervisory experience 
  • Must have strong facilitation skills, including knowledge expert, instructor, motivator, questioner, moderator, discussion manager, group dynamics manager
  • Strong project management skills to drive projects to completion, including the ability to lead complex projects, establish and manage work plans, oversee and delegate to team members, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to build positive relationships with multiple stakeholder groups and identities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to translate organizational needs into integrated learning and development solutions
  • Ability to establish credibility and influence at all levels in the organization while building relationships and trust during times of change and transition 
  • Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate
  • Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of motor vehicle insurance
  • Ability to meet our driving requirements – no suspensions/ no more than two tickets in the past three years

Upon request, qualifying need, and approval, driving requirements may be waived in lieu of reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • A master’s degree in organizational leadership/development/learning
  • Any combination of CPTM, APTD, CPTD, CLDP certifications

Key Responsibilities

Vision, Strategy, Program Design:  

  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking, data-driven LOD strategy fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth 
  • Development, and execution of scalable solutions designed to serve the needs of the organization
  • Collaborate with business leaders to design and deliver dynamic development programs that equip managers with critical people management skills, promote career growth for high-performing talent, and cultivate a culture of ownership and collaboration
  • Responsible for designing departmental goals and measurement strategies to analyze the effectiveness and impact of the LOD programs on key people metrics and use data-driven insights to continually improve and refine solutions
  • Manage the LOD budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize the impact of learning initiatives 
  • Apply change management methodology to business processes, systems, and technology by creating, communicating, and implementing change management plans that minimize associate resistance and maximize engagement
  • Collaborate with leadership across the organization to address specific requirements and contract deliverables, identify and create action plans to address gaps in learning, and to strategize and communicate procedure/process changes that impact our onboarding programs
  • Maintain and leverage industry knowledge and networks to provide best practices in the areas of training and organizational development 

 
Leadership   

  • Provide timely and effective feedback and mentorship to direct reports, with a high degree of instilling encouragement and accountability
  • Complete performance evaluations for direct reports, as well as actively identify opportunities for staff development through ongoing supervision and frequent one-on-ones
  • Leverage the knowledge and experience of subject matter experts allocating resources and staff to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Serve as a strategic partner with an ability to flex between strategic and tactical work. 
  • Provide thought leadership in business and project planning, with a focus on optimization
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies in LOD; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to leadership 
  • Support the entire People team as needed with strategy & project development, talent analytics, and change/project management 
  • Ensure DEIA efforts are woven into LOD activities

We are a designated Case Management Agency (CMA) for long-term care services and are one of Colorado’s Community Centered Boards (CCB), connecting people to federal, state, county, and private funding.
