Position Purpose & Summary

Responsible for public relations and media outreach from national and regional markets, maximization of all Online and Website initiatives; thorough and sensible delegation and personal attention to detail. Execute marketing activities for the property as directed by the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and the President and CEO. Create and execute local e-marketing campaigns and make edits to the property's website. Coordinate initiatives with marketing partners and maintain applicable planning documents. Manage the Real Preferred CRM program.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform general office duties and assist other personnel as required
  • Maintain a working relationship with departments for marketing needs
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes which would affect operations
  • Maintain accurate forecast and recap information
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and the President and CEO.
  • Practice safety standards and report unsafe conditions to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and the President and CEO.
  • Setup and conduct media/PR/Corporate Alliance site inspections for entire property
  • Direct report to Vice President of Sales and Marketing
  • Lead Public Relations efforts.
  • Focus on digital marketing efforts and increase web revenue
  • Manage SEO, keywords, targeting and audience development
  • Oversee and participate in Social Media strategies and posting
  • Produce and communicate all Resort email marketing communications
  • Review and proof all membership email marketing communications
  • Assist with maintenance of membership email templates
  • Collaborate and assist with the build out of new website and maintenance of existing site as needed
  • Campaign creation, management, and coordination
  • Creative package development and promotion
  • Inspect website edits and updates
  • Assure Facebook events are current
  • Audit member portal
  • Assist in coordination of media FAM events
  • Creative direction at photography shoots
  • Assist with control of expense budget
  • Orchestrate all marketing initiatives and delegate accordingly
  • Generate monthly member newsletter
  • Optimize web listings OTA, Wedding, Group
  • Participate in weekly Revenue and Sales Meeting
  • Lead weekly marketing meetings as required
  • Gather content/event detail; create all flyers, menus, and signage
  • Audit and adjust events on member portal
  • Bring the member portal content up to date
  • Assist as needed in all membership email marketing communications
  • Take photographs at events
  • Communicate marketing initiatives at weekly operations meeting

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Selected candidate must demonstrate an in-depth and progressive knowledge of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, You Tube, and other emerging platforms)
    • Forge local partnerships and review opportunities for local level promotions and sponsorships to gain recognition and beneficial status within the community.
    • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
    • Regular attendance during scheduled work times and on time attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
    • Math skills, as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
    • Demonstrate a professional appearance by maintaining a neat, clean, and well-groomed professional appearance per the property's standards.
    • Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction.

Position Requirements:

  1. Minimum Knowledge & Skills:
  • Adobe design suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and WordPress
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills
    • Must possess above average computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, project management software, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
    • Aggressive, outgoing and self-motivation individual with pleasant personality
  1. Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:
    • This position requires an associates degree in marketing or related field and/or 5 years minimum professional job-related marketing department head management experience preferably in a luxury upscale hotel/resort.
