Your Day-to-Day
Business Development
- Identify and engage potential new members through outreach strategies such as new business license lists, local partnerships, community events, social media, and referrals.
- Research and qualify prospective members to align with Chamber goals and industry diversity.
- Connect with potential members via visits, phone calls, and digital engagement to communicate the value of Chamber membership.
- Sell Chamber sponsorship and advertising opportunities by aligning member goals with available marketing, visibility, and event partnership benefits.
- Build and strengthen relationships to expand the membership base and increase revenue through memberships, sponsorships, and advertising.
Member Onboarding & Retention
- Execute a high-quality onboarding process to introduce new members to Chamber programs, groups, and benefits.
- Schedule meetings with new members to identify engagement priorities and complete their Member Action Plans (MAP).
- Plan and manage monthly New Member Receptions and Maximize Your Membership Success events.
- Regularly meet with members to assess satisfaction, identify additional engagement or sponsorship opportunities, and address membership upgrades.
- Support the member renewal process, ensuring an overall retention rate of 80% or higher.
Member Engagement and Groups
- Oversee and strengthen engagement across Chamber networking groups and industry convenings.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure appropriate support and representation across all member groups.
- Monitor attendance, participation, and group growth; identify and address programmatic needs.
- Manage invoicing and collection of group-related fees.
- Encourage participation in events, programs, and leadership initiatives to deepen member involvement.
Event & Programming Support
- Plan & Execute events such as ribbon cuttings, industry convenings, networking events, and more.
- Identify and engage potential event sponsors to support Chamber programming.
- Support all Chamber events to ensure high-quality member experiences.
- Evaluate member feedback to identify opportunities for new or improved member programs.
Communication & CRM Management
- Manage member data using the GrowthZone (sales, onboarding, renewals, group engagement, reporting).
- Track interactions and engagement metrics to inform retention and growth strategies.
- Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and Communication to create content that highlights new members, spotlights engagement success stories, and promotes events or sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
- Develop and execute direct communication strategies to ensure members are informed and supported in utilizing their benefits.
General Duties:
- Attend regular staff meetings, events, and community functions as an ambassador of the Chamber.
- Support general office duties, including phones, greeting guests, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Foster member-to-member connections and partnerships that enhance the local business ecosystem.

- Flexibility: Adjust to short-term change quickly and calmly, so that you can deal with unexpected problems or tasks effectively
- Project/process management: Manage priorities, processes, timelines, organized record keeping and task deliverables across a variety of overlapping projects
- Interpersonal Savvy: Maintain a high-energy and positive attitude when dealing with various personalities and differences of opinion in a collaborative environment
- Business development: Form and nurture long-term partnerships that lead to growth opportunities between members

- Public speaking and presentation: Excellent written, phone, and verbal communication abilities that command audience respect
- Technological proficiency: Comfort with technology, including Google Suite, basic social media, and contact management
The Environment
The Greater Arvada Chamber team is dynamic and committed to the success of our organization and community. While team members are given flexibility, they are held accountable to performance measurements to ensure objectives are achieved. Early mornings and occasional evening meetings are a part of our work, and all team members are asked to attend as appropriate. Applicants must be able to travel efficiently to off-site meeting locations throughout the region.
