Your Opportunity:
- Lead newly created effort to evolve merchandising to and active support of the US Direct Business Channel shareholder base, one of Janus Henderson's largest channels
- Develop direct-to-consumer (D2C) strategies and implement programs across multiple marketing channels that target consumer prospects including Search Engine Marketing/Search Engine Optimization, display media, social media, email and other innovative media channels to both drive new investor acquisition and existing investor retention
- Diagnose efficacy of marketing messages, campaigns combinations of media interactions, and frequencies in partnership with the Head of US Direct Business Channel, US Direct Business Channel Business Manager, Head of US Direct Business Channel Marketing, Head of Data Science & Advanced Analytics, and others
- Inform customer engagement and communication programs, such as financial education campaigns, virtual events, video promotion, and email nurture and subscription programs
- Assist with the activation and learning loop expansion of just-launched D2C investment advice offering with to-be-determined investor and prospect cohorts and personas
- Develop and oversee D2C budget to ensure cost-effective implementation, ongoing operations, and verifiable results through ROI and client satisfaction assessments
- Manage all phases of assigned projects for the US Direct Business Channel team related to D2C efforts, ensuring key decisions that drive strategy, marketing plans, and customer experience are based on relevant insights and consumer-informed data
- Bring the voice of Janus Henderson shareholder consumers into strategy and client journey decisions via timely research
- Prepare department reports, presentations, and measurements as requested, including periodic interactions and presentations with CEO and Janus Henderson Executive Committee
- Deliver against individual and team KPIs, as established
- Carry out other duties, as assigned in furtherance or role and responsibilities

Must have skills
- Seven (7) years in a D2C communications or marketing setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize decisions in a fast-moving environment
- Creative problem resolution and data assessment skills with demonstrated ability to assimilate research findings in omni-channel setting
- Capability and willingness to follow and deliver against Compliance, Legal and Risk guidance regarding Janus Henderson’s role and responsibilities relating to shareholders, their confidential information, and our shared trust-based relationship
- Experience in a team environment that fosters culture of peer-to-peer coaching, collaboration, mentoring, recognition and perpetual development of human capital
Nice to have skills
- Diverse and proven D2C work history, including both consumer goods and financial services or investment environments
- Demonstrated experience in mutual funds or financial services industry and knowledge of company investment products
- Prior agency work with digital marketing focus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Effective presentation and group facilitation skills preferred

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $125,000 – $145,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
