Job Title: Engagement & Administrative Manager 

Reports to: Rabbi Adam Morris 

Status: Part-Time – 25 hours/week 

Temple Micah is a Reform synagogue of approximately 180 households located in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood. Established in the mid-1950’s, we are a warm, vibrant, intimate and contemporary Jewish community. 

About this role: The Engagement & Administrative Manager is the important first point of contact for Temple Micah members and prospective members. This role works directly with the Rabbi, staff, Leadership Team and other volunteers to implement the mission, vision, and goals of the congregation. This role helps create a caring, collaborative environment that optimizes the experience of our members and staff. 

The ideal candidate: 

● is a creative problem-solver and has experience managing organizations – including communications, finance and people 

● cares about getting things done, but how they are done is equally important 

● is an experienced communicator, and understands how an organization can leverage the website and social media to meet its communication goals and improve its reach 

● understands the importance of technology, systems and budgets, and has created and overseen budgets 

● has 5+ years of experience managing within an organization – the people, the programs and the finances 

● understands or is open to learning about Jewish and Reform customs, practices, and holidays


  • Manage the day to day operations of Temple Micah 

  • Develop and implement policies, best practices, and procedures 

  • Promote effective information sharing among Rabbi, staff, and Leadership Team

  • Develop and oversee communications strategies; oversee the website and social media

  • Manage relationships with vendors 

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships and address congregational concerns in a timely manner 

  • In partnership with the rabbi, staff, leadership team, and lay leadership, develop strategies for community connection, engagement, and retention 

  • Ensure accuracy of membership information, records, and reporting 

  • Oversee all financial operations: 

    • Ensure sound financial management for the synagogue 

    • Use appropriate financial systems and controls to ensure legal compliance.

    • Partner with staff and Treasurer to create and manage the budget, providing updates to the Leadership Team

    • Manage bookkeeping / accounting staff

Compensation:  25 hours per week. Schedule flexible and includes some evenings / weekends for Jewish holidays, Shabbat services, and leadership meetings. Salary range is $35K-40K.
