This position is responsible for the development, management and coordination of CHI’s enterprise digital tools/vehicles that support CHI’s employee communications and strategic priorities. This individual will have strong project management skills along with knowledge of digital software and the ability to serve as a subject matter expert for the software. This individual must have a background in web and/or newsletter design to include basic software coding and photo editing in addition to providing editorial support, including writing, editing and developing content for publications. This position requires a good working knowledge of digital communication methods, strong attention to detail along with the ability to collaborate with others to make edits and coordinate final approvals. This position must function with limited supervision and requires considerable independent judgment and proactive management of work responsibilities and demands. Must be able to exercise initiative, discretion and accountability for multiple projects and programs. This position works collaboratively with leaders and staff across our ministry.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities:
Manages CHI’s portfolio of internal communication vehicles including:
Writing, working with subject matter experts on approvals, selecting and editing images, laying out content.
Maintaining distribution lists and archiving databases for newsletters, employee app messages, and other digital communications including videos and employee forum content.
Serving as department expert for enterprise communication vehicles.
Managing the communications and news email boxes.
Managing videos for internal communications, including posting them on the CHI YouTube channel.
Serves as enterprise subject matter expert for internal communication vehicle software including:
Managing software contracts and being the liaison with vendors; is familiar with product updates and learns best practices.
Maintaining login databases.
Conducting educational workshops and training on how to use the tools and best practices.
Manages CHI’s Intranet.
Develops Intranet content and implements project plans for ensuring pages and content on CHI’s internal employee website are not out of date.
Works with departments to ensure their pages are kept up to date.
Coordinates data collection to monitor and understand internal audience engagement.
Assumes lead responsibility implementing various project-based assignments, including writing tactical communication plans.
Develops process for and manages coordinating approvals from subject matter experts for internal communication messages.
Serves as department expert for best practice PowerPoint presentations and other visual presentations.
Performs research, proposes and implements solutions to resolve challenges for the communication team and enterprise.
Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred) required
Master’s Degree Communications/Marketing preferred
2- 4 years of related experience required
Experience with web programing and photoshop preferred
Experience writing web page content design preferred
Experience writing and designing newsletters preferred
Experience in graphic design preferred
Experience in project management preferred
Experience in healthcare preferred
