Job Summary:
The Ideal candidate is enthusiastic and driven to pursue a career in sales and event services with a positive mindset and willingness to learn and take initiative.
The Intern is responsible for providing the Director of Events and the Event Managers with administrative support in soliciting new conference and catering accounts, maintaining relationships with existing accounts and building relationships within the local community. Provides the support in coordinating the details associated with all client functions to ensure our group/event guests have the highest quality experience possible while maintaining a profitable Department. Assists in preparing detailed group resumes and works closely with the F&B and Culinary teams to coordinate functions. Responsible for the distribution of banquet/catering information to internal and external customers. Further responsible for supporting the Eagle County Events Department of our business by processing lift ticket sales and varied customer-focused tasks.

Job Responsibilities:
- Advanced planning for wedding deck at Vail Mountain & Beaver Creek Mountain component of our business at, onsite facilitator of all wedding deck events
- Further onsite support to Service Managers at additional events as needed
- Lift Ticket Processing
- Department distributions (weekly calendar, daily events, BEO’s, LT Orders)
- Invoice collection of all group related business, set department up for monthly financial reporting
- Financial Reporting & Group Reconciliation
- Out of Office coverage for Service Managers (when service managers are on the mountain serving clients at venues, there is a lack of office coverage for clients that are not onsite but set to arrive in the near future)
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Must have excellent computer skills in programs including Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Ability to read and comprehend complex correspondence required.
- Ability to effectively present detailed information both verbally and in written form to guests, employees, and management required.
- Flexible schedule required, generally normal business hours with frequent need to work nights, holidays, and weekends. Summer Fridays & Saturdays are extremely busy.
The expected pay range is $20.00/hr – $23.23/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
