The Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP) will conduct a national search for an experienced professional to provide leadership and vision in furthering the economic development strategies and initiatives for Mesa County, Colorado. The organization is charged with attraction of new jobs, encouraging expansion and increasing capital investment in the county with its private and municipal partners.

GJEP serves to enhance the economic growth in one of the most attractive areas of Colorado. As the economic development entity for Mesa County, GJEP is headquartered in Grand Junction, Colorado and provides ready access to world class mountain biking, hiking, skiing and many other outdoor activities. Grand Junction also provides easy access to Telluride, Aspen and Moab.
 

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

A qualified candidate will have demonstrable leadership qualities and will have business development experience in the economic development context, or senior level leadership in government, business, non-profit or other related environments. Previous experience managing and supervising personnel is essential, as well as an ability to engage board members and community leaders to advance the goals of the organization. A bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced education is welcomed but not mandatory, and unique experience will be weighted comparably.
