Beer Drop is looking for a Head of Growth Marketing (HGM) to lead and continue to build our Growth Marketing team.  This position will report directly to the CEO. The HGM will lead the strategic planning and daily execution of all marketing activities, and will be responsible for making data-driven decisions while driving Customer Acquisition, Brand Development and Lifecycle Communications for the core Beer Drop brand, as well as spearheading marketing efforts for new initiatives.

A successful candidate must be equally adept at managing a team’s productivity and contributing individually to accomplish goals.  The HGM will own the top of funnel customer acquisition (both paid digital media and offline advertising), SEO, referral programs, affiliate, content marketing, email marketing, loyalty program, as well as owning the overall voice of the Beer Drop brand. As the HGM, you will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive performance marketing program focused on user acquisition and retention.

  • Meet customer growth goals, identify and execute new growth opportunities

  • Set strategy, develop and track KPIs, and build a strong growth culture

  • Own the marketing acquisition P&L, set budget, control spend, and allocate spend to drive strong growth

  • Develop the marketing and growth strategy, manage a small team of growth contributors, and hire additional internal and external contributors

  • Create and execute daily/weekly growth experiments across acquisition channels, landing pages, content virality, etc.

  • Develop and manage all aspects of Beer Drop’s marketing program, including channel management, audience building, media buying, creative ad direction, testing, and reporting.

  • Oversee digital media spending across key acquisition channels such as FB, Instagram, Google, Pinterest and others

  • Creation of attribution strategies and program to understand channel efficacy

Key Job Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience managing complex performance programs

  • A strong professional background in paid acquisition marketing 

  • Expert in Paid Acquisition, Content/SEO, Data/Analytics, Customer Conversion / Retention

  • Highly proficient in analyzing and interpreting data to inform strategy and decision making

  • Years of experience working at an online consumer brand, preferably in the ecommerce or marketplace space

  • A self-starting attitude: You work independently and effectively, with little oversight or management

  • You’re excited about the opportunity to work very hard in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high energy to build something incredible

  • Possesses a strong sense of urgency, with the ability to get things done both autonomously and collaboratively

  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills, who is comfortable in a hands-on, “roll up your sleeves”, start-up environment
