Description

The Human Resources Department is looking for an eager, self-driven, self-starter, team player to join the Arapahoe County team located in Littleton, Colorado.  This position is the staff recruiter for approximately half of the organization.  The recruiter also initiates the on-boarding process, coordination of background checks, physical capabilities testing, scheduling of orientations, facilitating orientation, and verifies paperwork. This position also serves as the department time keeper and supports HR systems.

Anticipated hiring range : $40,222.00 –  $49,192.00 annually

Duties

Builds relationships with all Departments and Offices; responsive to requests and proactively provides support. 

Responsible for the new employee on-boarding process, which includes job posting, evaluating and referring applications.  

May conduct some phone screens.

Runs background checks and schedules pre-employment testing.

May initiate personnel action forms (PAFs).

Conducts new employee orientation, collects and verifies new hire paperwork.
 
Answers internal and external applicant inquiries; refers to other inquiries to/from HR staff members as appropriate.
 
Responds to employment verifications.
 
Serves as department security coordinator.
 
Serves as department's time administrator.
 
Assists with years of service awards and ceremony.
 
Updates employment records.
 
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
 
Medium to high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
 
Knowledge of Neo Gov ATS desirable.
 
Experience working within SAP desirable.
 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
Effective management of priorities and projects in a fast paced environment.
 
Ability to manage information in a confidential and professional manner.
 
Detail oriented.

EDUCATION:
 
High school diploma or GED
 
EXPERIENCE:
 
One (1) to three (3) years of administrative support.

(An equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job may be sufficient).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree in HR, Business or a related field highly desirable. 

Human Resources and/or recruiting.

Experience with Neogov and SAP systems.

Previous ATS system experience a plus.

This position requires successful completion of pre-employment background and motor vehicle checks.
 
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: 
 
Works under the broad direction of the Director of Human Resources.  Work assignments are in the form of areas of responsibility and are only generally defined.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
 
Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
