Paladina Health is growing fast and is in need of an IT Project Manager/Business Analyst to support the team! The IT Project Manager/Business Analyst oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects within the IT department. This BA/PM position has primary responsibilities for gathering, managing and communicating requirements that will be used to deliver value clients. It also involves working closely with business sponsors, subject matter experts, stakeholders and other project managers. The BA/PM also has to perform PM duties such as facilitate activities, report on statuses and ensure sponsors stay informed with accurate timely information to make decisions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Responsible for thoroughly understanding and communicating stakeholder requirements to appropriate team members, and manage all requirements accordingly to realize each for the stakeholder
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other agile project related meetings.
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project 
  • Find and work to remove development and project roadblocks; motivate the development team; protects the team from outside distractions.
  • Provide direction and support to project team
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project. 
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities. Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required. 
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.  
  • In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities. 
  • Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project. Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate. 
  • Execute the project according to the project plan. Develop forms and records to document project activities 
  • Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured. Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. 
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project. 
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards. 
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality 
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase 
  • Research and data collection for the purpose of creating post implementation reporting 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject 
  • 2+ years of experience as a business analyst or system analyst
  • Minimum 2 years in an IT related project management role and knowledge of project management methodologies, specifically waterfall and agile 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic and highly accountable environment 
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently as necessary and collaboratively 
  • Proficiency in the use of computers for: 
    • Word processing (Microsoft Office, Google for Business) 
    • Simple accounting
    • Spreadsheets 
    • E-mail      
    • Project Management tools (smartsheets.com, JIRA) 
  • Working Knowledge of SDLC, OOP and System Architecture 
  • Familiar with client / server software environments 
  • Recent experience working on SaaS projects 
  • Knowledgeable in reporting / BI procedures and tools
