What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $84,604-$115,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
This position is currently hybrid with three (3) days/week reporting in person to Denver International Airport. This policy is subject to change based on the needs of the business as well as the mayor's order.

Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking a Manager of Airline Affairs to manage the development, acquisition, leasing and relationships of the Airport's property and facilities for airlines.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Manages the airport's business relationship with the airlines by collaborating with the other airport divisions, including Finance, to come up with the best solutions to address the needs of the airlines.
- Direct/Supervise/Manage the initiation, negotiation, implementation of airline, cargo, special facilities and TSA agreements and renewals to ensure effective delivery of services to airport users.
- Communicates, supports and integrates the organization's strategic plan into functional and operational areas. Provides expert advice in specialized functional/technical area to others externally and internally. Regularly uses communication skills to influence, persuade, mediate and/or negotiate with others to make decisions and/or take actions of major consequence or long-term significance to the organization.
- Using principles of Highest and Best Use, administer space allocation for airlines, airline support companies and the TSA. Coordinates with DEN Space Management to determine highest and best use. Ensures that space is properly billed and accounted for in lease documentation, if applicable.
- Facilitate airline startups, relocations and airport projects which may create impacts by (1) Communicating airport's requirements to airlines and assisting them in meeting the requirements, (2) Meeting airline needs for leased space and other facilities requirements, (3) communicating and coordinating with appropriate airport personnel to facilitate smooth startup or relocation
- Serves as a consultant within the organization relevant to concerns generated within the realm of the specialized assignment

Our idea candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
- 3-5 years of previous Airline Affairs experience, or Airport Affairs/Corporate Real Estate experience at an airline.
- Demonstrated Relationship Management experience, which involved both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated financial analysis experience that informed major business decisions
- Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and bring diverse interests together
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and manage critical events seamlessly
- Elevated level of discretion and decision-making ability
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional experience conducting moderately complex analysis on a variety of issues as needed in retail, food and beverage, commercial property, car rental, parking and ground transportation businesses, airline affairs, or a related industry.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
- A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements.
- License/Certifications: By position, requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
- Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
