The opportunity:
The National Western Center is seeking a dynamic, creative, and detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our mission-driven team as we create a campus that will convene the world to lead, inspire, create, educate and entertain in pursuit of global food solutions.
Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, this role will support the planning, execution, and analysis of marketing and communications campaigns that drive brand awareness, engage target audiences, and support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital marketing, content creation, public relations, and event promotions with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and curate content for marketing materials, including social media posts, email newsletters, blog articles, and website updates.
- Manage and monitor company social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.
- Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and track social media trends to enhance engagement and significantly grow following.
- Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns, including social media, digital advertising, and email marketing.
- Produce high-quality visual and written content including but not limited to images, videos, GIFs, infographics, captions, and hashtags.
- Collaborate in organizing promotional events, webinars, and other community outreach initiatives.
- Assist in managing paid social campaigns, including ad creation, targeting, and performance tracking.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing and communications materials while enforcing brand standards and guidelines.
- Generate ideas for content that resonate with the target audience and align with the brand's voice and values.
- Coordinate with sales and events teams to implement added value marketing campaigns for event clients.
What you will bring along:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or proven relevant experience in the field).
- 2 to 4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations ideally in a mission-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact, HubSpot, social media editorial calendars, etc).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and an eye for design and aesthetics.
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and other digital marketing analytics tools is a plus.
Work location and hours: this position can be performed through a mix of on-site and remote work in Denver, Colorado.
Compensation range: the starting salary is $68,000 to $74,000
