The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for successfully representing IME’s overarching marketing strategy and overall brand.  Working with company leadership, they will develop a communications strategy, oversee social media and branding consistency, and develop marketing tactics to support the overall business strategy.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to facilitate team cooperation, creativity, and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure project photos, affiliated project write-ups, articles and awards are highlighted effectively.
  • Manage third-party marketing consultants and other marketing vendors to ensure cost effectiveness and brand continuity across all lines of business.
  • Oversee company social media branding and consistency, developing a social media strategy complete with content calendar and posts that reflect the company’s overarching goals.
  • Utilize out-of-the-box methodologies to highlight the organization’s lines of business and increase visibility across various markets.
  • Work closely with company leadership to develop sales collateral, presentations, and proposals that effectively communicate the company's value proposition and capabilities to customers.
  • Lead and organize company’s philanthropic efforts.
  • Work closely with the preconstruction, service and sales teams to implement sales/marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop marketing plans and strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Design an internal and external communication plan and continuously look for opportunities to improve communication efforts.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's branding, including logo design, website/intranet design, and content creation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry influencers, thought leaders, and associations to position the company as a thought leader in the electrical contracting industry.
  • Plan and coordinate company events, including industry conferences and community outreach
  • Conduct market research to help develop strategies that align with the overall business strategy.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Commercial and/or industrial construction industry marketing experience highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and communicate in a clear and compelling manner, with a strong command of English grammar and editing, and attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating with all levels of an organization including senior leadership.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate the activities of various team members or third-party contractors, and to prioritize tasks when faced with multiple deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills with a “hands-on” and team-oriented attitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, SharePoint and social platforms.
  • Confident personality with the ability to think strategically and help teams develop sound marketing, pursuit, and proposal strategies.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness, with the ability to execute ideas effectively.
  • Ability to represent the organization effectively in-person and virtually for trade shows, events, and association committees.
  • In-depth understanding of the organization’s lines of business with the ability to successfully articulate differentiators, wins, and staff skillsets.
  • Proposal development skills including document creation, print production and digital production.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant marketing experience with 2+ years in the construction industry preferred

Working Conditions:

The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment, the remainder of the time you will be on construction job sites. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space.  You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

Salary Range: 

$100,000 – $125,000

 *Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.*
