Job Description: 

In consultation with the Executive Director and appropriate committees of the Board of Directors, the Marketing and Public Relations Specialist will create a comprehensive philosophy and structure for CAE marketing, branding, website, and social media platforms. Specific marketing duties include creation and distribution of advertising materials and campaigns, content creation and management of CAE website, creation and distribution of press releases, posting community event listings, educational offerings, and managing the marketing budget.  Candidates must have strong graphic design skills. 

Areas of Responsibility

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Manage the CAE marketing budget and complete advertising buy with major local media
  • Evaluate CAE’s marketing strategy and research new ways of marketing
  • Coordinate monthly arts calendar with other local non-profits
  • Design monthly postcards and coordinate mailing
  • Create an average of 5 advertisements a month for various media in different formats
  • Design logos, banners, vinyl, posters, flyers, and all other signage for exhibits and events
  • Compose and distributes all press releases for major events and exhibitions
  • Use CRM database to manage events and maintain constituent info
  • Maintain/update the CAE website content on a weekly basis
  • Create and distribute weekly email communications (Canvas) through Constant Contact
  • Upload photos, stories, opportunities, etc. to social media on a regular basis
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Must have computer proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of CRM,, and CMS (WordPress)
  • Must have good customer service skills and professional demeanor
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Successful working both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Must have a minimum of 5-7 yrs experience
  • Knowledge of graphic design software: Adobe CS5 (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop),
  • Experience with Social Media: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and Constant Contact
Compensation/Benefits
  • This is a part time position (20-25 hrs/week) including some weekend and/or evening hours.  CAE is an easy commute (30 min) from downtown Denver, just off of I70
  • This position pays $25 per hour
