Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Denver seeks a dynamic, fun, creative self-starter who loves film to assist in marketing, social media, communications and events efforts. Role and Responsibilities


  • Assist in planning, writing and managing e-blasts and e-newsletters

  • Assist with maintaining and growing media contact list, drafting news releases and media alerts, press outreach and coordinating interviews

  • Manage event calendar listings

  • Assist in designing marketing materials

  • Assist in organizing and executing theater lobby activations

  • Assist in building and maintaining Alamo’s Victory membership program

  • Build and maintain community partnerships, create comprehensive database of targeted businesses and community organizations

  • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and tools for marketing and communications

  • Read and stay up-to-date on all film and related topic blog content, sharing relevant stories and themes with the creative team

  • Attend networking events and meetings

  • Prepare weekly reports and maintain regular contact with supervisor

  • Perform other duties as needed


Social Media

  • Execute social media strategy, including daily management of all social platforms

  • Create interesting, witty, diverse and visually pleasing content for all social platforms

  • Drive positive conversation and engagement with audience

  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and new technologies and implement as needed

  • Attend Alamo events, live post, document and share across all social platforms


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space

  • Completed college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Social Media, Advertising or Public Relations)

  • Previous related experience in marketing or communications

  • Understanding of the basic principles of public relations and/or marketing

  • Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a plus.

  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with community contacts

  • Ability to work well independently, and within a team

  • Must have own computer

  • Professional appearance and presentation a must

  • Strong organizational skills

  • General math skills

  • Keeps client and company information confidential

  • Must be reliable and punctual

  • Knowledge of the industry highly desired

  • Commitment to the continuous improvement of service quality and the organization’s mission

  • Other duties as needed
