Essential Functions:

  • Plan, execute and track email, digital, social media, and content campaigns, creating original content, conducting market research, and identifying trends
  • Create and coordinate marketing projects/plans from start to finish with acute attention to detail
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums for clarity, accuracy, completeness, AP Style, brand adherence, and consistent voice
  • Provide responsive service to direct requests from internal teams for marketing content and support
  • Coordinate with team members to deliver a monthly newsletter to members
  • Monitor, track and contribute content for social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter
  • Design, produce and execute email marketing campaigns for program areas as necessary
  • Develop and create marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, and ensure that brand guidelines are met
  • Create strong content for internal, print and social channels
  • Evaluate and monitor digital campaign performance on an ongoing basis by tracking, analyzing and reporting key performance metrics
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs
  • Actively support and demonstrate IASLC core values
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed

Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high quality and timely execution of marketing programs
  • Occasional graphic design for collaterals and/or online communications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in marketing, social or digital media, or a similar role
  • Strong technology skills and aptitude for learning and adapting to new platforms, including but not limited to ExactTarget email platform, Drupal-based website, Google AdWords & Analytics
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, Adobe Suite
  • Experience with InDesign or Adobe Illustrator and Premier Pro a plus
  • Must communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent command of written English and strong editing skills with a high degree of attention to detail and copy accuracy. Must have solid understanding of AP Style guidelines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in prioritizing, organization, time management, and project management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with print process, methods and terminology
  • Previous experience using Drupal website platform
  • Proficiency in use of project management software
  • Previous international and/or association work experience
