The Marketing Director/General Manager

The Marketing Director/General Manager is a member of the management team.          • Lead the Marketing Department.          • Personally provide, and infuse the Marketing Department with a high standard of customer service. The Company wants its customers to be treated in an exceptional manner.

         • Conduct weekly Marketing Department meetings at which goals, skill advancement, upcoming deadlines or sales contests, and challenges are addressed. Use these meetings and other methods to motivate and encourage the staff. Ensure deadlines are met.

         • Implement a system of daily call reports, or an alternative, that will provide tracking for new business goals.

         • Work individually with Marketing Representatives as needed to help them in their growth or to overcome challenges. Review and adjust, as needed, advertising territories, account lists, compensation plans.

         • Implement goals for each Marketing Consultant related to revenues, new business development, website sales, special section or magazine sales, and other projects as assigned. Track progress toward these goals. Clearly and regularly communicate expectations to staff.
