Caliper Foods (caliperfoods.life),  is a consumer packaged goods company that offers safe and standardized hemp-derived soluble cannabinoids to both consumers and manufacturers alike. 

 

Caliper Foods encompasses two distinct business lines: (1) Caliper Commercial Ingredients, which provides soluble CBD ingredients at scale to food, beverage, supplement, and other CPG manufacturers; and (2) Caliper Consumer, which sells its own line of CBD-infused products nationwide. 

 

Caliper Foods was founded in 2015 on the belief that cannabinoids, especially non-psychoactive compounds like CBD, are a major new category in functional ingredients.

 

About the Job

We are looking for an Marketing Manager who will support the overall marketing efforts for our consumer business, with a focus on our direct-to-consumer online business. Marketing efforts include managing website content & strategy, managing performance marketing agencies, email strategy, and social, and assisting with marketing strategy as it relates to brand awareness and storytelling across Caliper. This role will support our online marketing, eCommerce strategy, social media presence, influencer outreach, field marketing, email marketing, and more. As a key member of the team, this position requires a highly-motivated individual who’s not afraid to jump right into things with strong communication skills.  Candidate must be able to work in a team environment, and be extremely passionate about being the voice of a growing brand. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support overall planning, research, and execution of our marketing campaigns and tactics. 

  • Responsible for D2C growth & retention through performance marketing campaigns & email

    • Able to analyze online sales data to provide insights & recommendations for the business on how to continue to grow new users or maintain retention. 

    • Accountable for performance marketing KPIs.

  • Maintain website development needs including new product pages, promotions, blogs, etc. 

  • Translate our strategy into an integrated marketing plan and coordinate “turkey slicing” across various customer touch-points (white papers/eBooks, webinars, paid eBlasts, blog, paid trade pub articles)

  • Act as a main point of contact and project manager for agencies as needed.

  • Be a collaborative marketing member of the team to help other team members with integrated strategy, planning, briefs, & insights. 

  • Serve as a brand steward to ensure the marketing strategy and positioning is accurately represented in all marketing activities and materials

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in the digital marketing space 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field 

  • Experience or interest in CPG industry 

  • Proficient in email marketing (MailChimp preferred) 

  • Proficient or willingness to learn Google Adwords,Google Analytics, & Google Tag Manager 

  • Proficient or willingness to learn basic website content development through wordpress templates 

  • Familiar with growth accounting principles and how to read data and provide recommendations on business improvements 

  • Familiar with analytical and database tools
