The Marketing Traffic Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of projects within the Communications department at Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance. This position is responsible for managing the trafficking of creative assets, coordinating with external vendors, and assisting in the execution of onsite signage and digital board updates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within a marketing or communications environment, with experience in both digital and print media.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Priority 1 – Creative Project Oversight 

  • Oversee and coordinate the flow of creative projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are kept informed.  
  • Traffic creative materials to go to market, print, or digital channels, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are upheld. 
  • Liaise with external print and marketing vendors to oversee production timelines, quality checks, and delivery logistics.

Priority 2 – Creative Operations & Communication

  • Assist with the physical installation of onsite signage, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and messaging.  
  • Update onsite digital boards with current content, ensuring accurate and timely information is displayed.  
  • Communicate regularly with the Marketing Manager and team members to provide status updates and address any potential roadblocks.

Other Responsibilities and Duties

  • Other assistance, as designated by the Marketing Manager, to support the overall goals of the department and organization. Be proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements in project management and trafficking. Denver Zoo retains the right to add or change duties and/or responsibilities at any time.
  • Acts as a good steward of DZCA’s resources.
  • The nature of this position requires safeguarding against the release of confidential and proprietary information of Denver Zoo.
  • This position will interact with managers at all levels and staff members across the organization, in addition to members of external organizations, vendors, and the public.  

Technical / Professional Requirements & Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in marketing, advertising, business, communications, journalism or related fields, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Requires minimum of 2-years’ experience in Project Management, Traffic Management or Marketing; experience working in a nonprofit is preferred, or any equivalent combination of experience, lived experience, and/or special skills.
  • Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite are required.  Proficiency in WordPress, Tessitura/T-New, Word Fly, and Basecamp is a plus.
  • Requires organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work and tasks. Requires adaptability to produce and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-task and changing environment, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Position Conditions

  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
  • Schedule Availability: Variable schedule based on needs of the team. On rare occasions, may be required to work evenings and/or a weekend day
  • Work Location: On campus 

Compensation

Rate for this position is $30 (hourly).
