Part Time Employee: 20-25 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities
This is a growth-oriented job in an expanding non-profit. This employee’s responsibilities would be:

  • Manages information: Answers phones, check voice mails and emails, and relays messages accurately, files items as needed based on current systems
  • Tracks and schedules both recurring and one-time projects
  • Maintains calendars
  • Maintains inventory and purchases supplies for office and garden
  • Assists in the preparation of curriculum development and marketing materials
  • Works with the Executive Director to insert edits in Word documents and transcribe digital recordings
  • Monitors and updates memberships and subscriptions
  • Keeps the office and the grounds tidy
  • Coordinates with other staff
  • Is willing to assist with any project as needed

Skills Needed

Enjoys and is good at organizing and sequencing material

Follows instructions carefully and completes detailed work accurately

Achieves the end result the task was designed to accomplish

Knows when to ask questions and request help

Has strong writing and verbal communication skills

Has strong Microsoft Word skills

Demonstrates excellent grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting, and proofreading skills

Learns to read the Executive Director’s hieroglyphic handwriting

Has a sense of humor

Knowledge

Five plus years’ experience in administrative work

Experience with colleges and college students

Non-profit and life skills education is a plus
