As a Senior PR Associate, you will help our clients build their reputations through media relations, storytelling, subject matter expert building and events. You will work with the team to make sure we are executing purposeful PR tactics aligned with the strategy we have built for our clients. You will also take the lead on media relations, support social media strategy, and contribute to creating compelling collateral and events for our clients. The keys to your success in this role are relationship building, strong writing skills and attention to detail. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads client work by running meetings, serving as a first responder for requests, overseeing client work and building a relationship with each client

  • Drives results for clients by implementing tactics associated with Communications Roadmaps

  • Supports media relations through list building, pitching and monitoring 

  • Develops collaborative working relationships with local and regional media

  • Keeps up with trends and changes in media and oversees production of media lists 

  • Produces quick fire/reactive content (i.e. press releases, pitches, announcements, talking points, website content, and other materials essential to public relations activities)

  • Supports social media through monitoring, responding and crafting content based on a social media roadmap 

  • Works in collaboration with the team to ensure work is tracked and deliverables are met for each client

Job Requirements: 

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in PR/communication, client management experience at an agency is a plus

  • Strong writing skills 

  • Outcomes focused and success driven to “get things done”

  • Experience in media pitching, social media and content creation

  • Success building relationships with media professionals, and/or a willingness to develop new relationships

  • Ability to solve problems and find answers to tough questions

  • Driven to deliver a high quality product, to support team members in their success and help grow the business

  • A commitment to volunteer service and community involvement

Compensation:

  • $55,000 – $65,000 (based on experience), with bonus potential
