Gaia is a growing conscious community and everyone who touches Gaia is on a unique path. Gaia is looking for a Senior Copywriter who will be responsible for writing and editing marketing copy and content. This position reports to the Creative Director and works closely with the creative services team to support initiatives of the marketing, product, content, and merchandising stakeholders. The writing work is focused on healthy growth, conversion, retention, international expansion, brand voice development, and more. You can take direction with a brand voice from the creative director but are also happy to collaborate creatively and have your own ideas.
• Effectively and efficiently write branded communications including ads, emails, landing pages, video scripts, in-product communication, social media, company website, and more • Edit work from others, help them improve their own abilities • Drive engagement through captivating storytelling and micro-copy • Develop, enhance and/or maintain a clear and consistent brand voice across multiple verticals • Collaborate with design, content, and other digital marketers to create campaigns • Take and accurately interpret direction from business and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet creative strategy/project objectives • Understands project requirements/scope, proactively raise issues that may impact quality or timing of deliverables, offer solutions • Actively participates in team meetings to discuss assignment parameters • Ensures that internal deadlines, timetables and approval procedures are adhered to for assigned project phases • Manages and prioritizes work effectively, proactively escalates conflicts with workloads
• 8+ years’ experience writing marketing copy both long form (ex: email) & short form (ex: digital ads) • Ability to deliver quality work with short turnaround timelines, matching a digital environment and speed • Experience with brand voice including being adaptable with and providing coherence across channels • Strong storytelling abilities • Experience in Advertising agency prefered • Previous experience with content (film, TV, digital) a big plus • Creative problem solver and quick thinker • Excellent time management skills, adheres strictly to deadlines • Superb grammar skills • Strong familiarity with and affinity for our content is a prerequisite to applying • Membership in Gaia is preferred • Must be able to work in our office in Louisville, Colorado • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • US Citizenship or an existing work visa is required • Non-smoker
