What Will You Be Doing?

The Senior Manager, Finance and Data Analytics supports the strategy, configuration, alignment and continuous improvement of the systems and optimization models and KPIs driving Frontier’s Airport Planning Team. The role reports to the Director, Airport Planning.  The Senior Manager will play a critical part in shaping financial strategy and ensuring robust, data-driven decision-making across the business.  You will enable the FP&A team and other departments to leverage automation and data science for financial analysis, planning, and forecasting. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine business strategies through insightful, actionable financial data, ensuring alignment with Frontier’s goals and long-term vision.

Essential Functions

  • Financial Strategy & Reporting: Develop and deploy strategies for financial reporting systems to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights for leadership. Lead the integration of financial data across different departments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness. Lead efforts to streamline FP&A systems and workflows.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Use advanced data analytics, financial modeling, and machine learning techniques to drive actionable insights, helping to inform and refine business strategies for revenue generation, cost management, and operational optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various functional leaders (including commercial, operations, and technology teams) to align financial goals with broader business initiatives. Ensure that financial data and reporting are integrated into key business decisions.
  • Systems Development: Collaborate with technology teams to help develop and implement new tools, systems, and automation strategies for FP&A processes, enhancing reporting capabilities and efficiency.
  • Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of financial analysts, fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture. Ensure the team has the resources and support needed to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Lead and develop a nimble, competitive, high-performing, and innovative team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research, Computer Science, Aviation Management or related field; advanced quantitative degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a growth-oriented, publicly-traded company in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), operations, and/or data analytics teams
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience required
  • Airline or similar industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience leading teams preferred but, not required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated understanding of economics, airline commercial metrics, financial modeling and data analytics principles with the ability to structure financial models and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills; experience with machine learning models, SQL, Python, JSON and visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau preferred
  • Ability to build alignment and deliver results across various high-performing teams, technology, and third-party business partners
  • Ability to structure data-driven analytical approaches across a range of quantitative techniques to solve business problems in an efficient, timely manner
  • Ability to independently prioritize analyses for self and teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong interpersonal skills
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear, concise manner to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic; delivers results in ambiguous, time-pressured situations with the ability to tackle complex financial challenges, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Sound judgment and ability to maintain composure under pressure
