Creative storytelling is crucial to the success of Shinesty's brand. Although our brand is irreverent, we hold ourselves to high standards when it comes to creating content and messaging that is hilarious, engaging, and effective from both entertainment and conversion perspectives.

We're hiring a hilarious, ferociously driven, versatile Creative Director to lead our content marketing. You’ll be responsible for setting creative strategy and vision, leading a team of hungry creators, and managing both the voice and tone of the brand across dozens of product lines. You’ll report directly to the CMO and will work closely with the heads of design and various marketing channels.


Our creative team produces a massive amount of content in a highly collaborative, ludicrous-speed environment. The ideal candidate will be able to get to the why behind what drives our products and customers. They will know the ins and outs of social media and various paid and organic marketing channels, nerd out on brand strategy, and get off on testing new ideas and concepts.

They will have a scrappy, blue collar work ethic and won't be afraid to work long hours to accomplish a project. They will never settle. They will love getting their hands dirty to create mindblowing content.

People management: lead a team of hungry creatives from ideation through execution for weekly ad, email, written, video and other creative pushes. This includes giving feedback to continuously improve both the content AND the team.

Help develop and own the creative vision and strategy for the brand

Lead the creation of compelling, entertainment + conversion effective, on-brand content

…for every channel: social, email, organic, on-site, video, etc.

…at every stage in the customer journey: awareness, engagement, consideration, purchase, retention and loyalty

Own the creative process and calendar that consistently delivers excellent content outputs, on time. Run inclusive yet challenging brainstorms that push ideas into the troposphere.

Collaborate with channel managers and merchandisers to accomplish business, channel, and product-specific objectives

Be data-driven, with the ability to adapt strategy by leveraging analytics across all our channels. ABT – Always be testing.

Oversee the voice and tone of the brand, ensuring that every piece of content that goes out the door is consistent and meets brand standards.

Help manage the growth and health of the Shinesty community across all content distribution channels

5+ years of brand and creative experience

Direct people management experience: this role will manage a growing team of creatives including copywriters, video production, photographers, social media content creators and more

Ability to deliver clear and concise feedback

Can backup your experience with a strong portfolio
