Summary

The Morgan Adams Foundation is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Fundraising and Development team as a Special Events Manager. This role will actively manage a portfolio of special event fundraisers and donor-centric events, will oversee all third-party fundraising activities, and will work to maximize promotional marketing opportunities – all contributing greatly to the overall growth and success of our organization.

Description

Duties/Responsibilities
Manage Select Special Event Fundraisers

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute small special event fundraisers aimed at attracting new donors, and engaging current donors while raising funds for The Morgan Adams Foundation, including but not limited to:
    • Chili, Booze, and Brews
    • Friday Night Fights
    • 5K Race
  • Management of these events will include all aspects of the event plan, including venue selection, budgeting, vendor coordination, all event logistics as well as timeline management.
  • Recruit and supervise volunteers to assist will event logistics.
  • Develop creative strategies to enhance event attendance and participation.
  • Evaluate the success of each event and identify areas for improvement.

Manage Logistics in Support of Donor Cultivation, Stewardship and Education Events

  • Work closely with the Development team to create, manage, and execute various donor-centric events, including but not limited to:
    • In-Home Donor Dinners
    • Private Lab Tours
    • Support various event Patron receptions.
  • Work closely with the Science and Community Outreach Teams to create, manage, and execute various events that will engage current donors who are interested in our scientific mission as well as attract new donors to the Morgan Adams family — including but not limited to:
    • What’s Up Doc?
    • Quarterly Lunch Lectures
    • The Family Brunches

Manage and Support Third-Party Fundraising

  • Cultivate relationships with third-party fundraisers, including individuals, community groups, and businesses, to encourage fundraising efforts on behalf of The Morgan Adams Foundation.
  • Provide support and guidance to third-party fundraisers, offering resources, materials, and logistics management as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with third-party fundraisers to track progress, offer encouragement, and express gratitude for their efforts.
  • Coordinate recognition and stewardship initiatives for third-party fundraisers in order to foster long-term engagement and support.

Manage Promotional Marketing

  • Identify and leverage promotional marketing opportunities to increase awareness of The Morgan Adams Foundation and its fundraising initiatives.
  • Develop marketing materials, including digital and print collateral, to promote fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Utilize social media platforms, email marketing, and other digital channels to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all promotional materials.

Experience Required/Preferred

  • High level of efficiency and effective time management.
  • Demonstrated project management experience (Experience in fundraising, event planning and management preferred).
  • Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with a high sense of urgency.
  • Solutions Oriented and can pivot when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse constituents.
  • Highly accountable and willing to take on increased responsibility.
  • Strong computer skills, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong working knowledge of donor management software, Salesforce experience preferred.
